LandTeam Australia Pty Limited have been presented with the Sir Thomas Mitchell Award for best overall project from forty four entries into the NSW Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Awards.
The award winning submission into the Rural Surveying Category is a tribute to the role that a Registered Surveyor plays in maintaining the Cadastre in the State and ensuring sustainable land titling solutions.

This New South Wales Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information 2021 Sir Thomas Mitchell award winning submission into the Rural Surveying Category is a tribute to Registered Surveyor Paul Davis-Raiss and those Technical Surveyors who assisted Paul with the project survey works – Nathanael Hudson, Alex Stojanovic, Mingma Sherpa, Jordan Di Donato and drafter Adam Crandell.
Paul is an “expert” Surveyor and the application of his cadastral surveying knowledge in achieving the land titling solution for this Aboriginal Land Claim shines the light on the fact that whilst surveying is a “science” there is a definite “art” involved in achieving registerable fit for purposes cadastral titling solutions.
